Alpine touring through the Almenwelt!
Alpine touring fee for parking space
and use of groomed slopes:
Alpine touring guests pay a fee for using the groomed pistes and parking lot. You get tickets at Almenwelt Lofer valley station (season pass and day ticket) and at parking lot P3 (new this winter: self-service ticket automat, only day tickets):
Season pass: Euro 50,00
Daily ticket: Euro 7,00
Valid on operating days, 8:30am - 5pm!
If you don't buy a ticket for ski touring (7 EUR per day/person) you will pay 12 EUR if stopped and checked!
Attention: Slopes closed from 5pm to 8:30am!
Best advice for our alpine touring guests:
>> Use the outmost right edge of the slope for your tour and walk consecutively in a row and NEVER side by side, especially on narrow parts of the pistes.
>> Avoid a tour between 2pm and 4pm! On the partly quite narrow pistes it's very dangerous for uphill walkers to collide with downhill skiers during this very busy time of day.
>> Attention: Pistes are closed daily from 5pm - 8:30am! Be aware that 7 ski slopes, due to the steepness, are being groomed by using ropes. This is extremely dangerous because of partly non-visible ropes at night. The affected pistes are closed during grooming and are made visible through rotating flashing lights.
>> Take advantage of beautiful alternative routes, sufficient snow level provided, instead of the groomed ski-pistes: Bürgerberg - Bräugföllalm, Sodervoken - Schwarzeck oder Unkenberg - Schwarzeck - see map above!
>> Almenwelt Lofer is trying it's best to find a fair and good basis, suitable for both, alpine touring guests and ski-lift operator. Proper attitude helps to reduce any possible dangers and problems to a minimum.
